Readers turning to the Charlotte Observer‘s opinion page this week found a letter from John Hood and Todd Miller of the N.C. Coastal Federation discussing legislation that would end North Carolina’s ban on coastal terminal groins. State Senate Republicans’ daily press e-mails highlighted Hood’s columns this week on the General Assembly’s progress report, Republicans’ job-creation priorities, the political trouble Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue faces across the state, and problems associated with North Carolina’s judicial selection system. The Elizabeth City Daily Advance recently interviewed Hood for an article about legislative proposals to cap the state’s gas tax.
