John Locke Foundation President John Hood officially unveiled his latest book this week. It’s titled Our Best Foot Forward: An Investment Plan for North Carolina’s Economic Recovery. Hood discussed the book with Pete Kaliner on WWNC Radio and with Bill LuMaye on WPTF. FavStocks.com promoted the book, leading to citations at WRAL.com, the News & Observer, and the Fayetteville Observer. N.C. Senate Republicans highlighted Hood’s latest column based on the book’s contents.

The Senate GOP also noted Hood’s column this week on North Carolina’s need for tax and spending reform. The Charlotte Business Journal interviewed him about medical malpractice reform. (“There is good evidence from other states that reforming tort and malpractice law can yield significant economic benefits by reducing the cost of doing business,” says John Hood, president of the John Locke Foundation, a conservative think tank. Controlling costs should have an impact on insurance premiums, as well as those associated with legal representation, he adds.) WWAY Television cited Hood’s recent participation as a Mrs. North Carolina pageant judge.
