John Locke Foundation President John Hood‘s regular syndicated newspaper column has attracted attention and praise in recent days. The Beaufort Observer noted this week Hood’s analysis of Gov. Bev Perdue’s push for higher North Carolina taxes. Meanwhile, The Franklin Times recently praised Hood’s work. (John Hood,
president of the John Locke Foundation and publisher of
CarolinaJournal.com had it right. Hood wrote that throughout early
June, there was breaking news on the two biggest political scandals in
North Carolina: the Easley scandal and the current state budget, which
has a massive fiscal deficit.
) A Forest City Daily Courier letter writer also offered kudos to Hood this month. (On Saturdays in The Daily Courier a lot can learned about, let’s say things that need attention, by John Hood of the John Locke Foundation. Please read this every Saturday, and then ask government officials to explain why the John Locke Foundation thinks the public needs to know (about) all waste, pork barrel spending.)
