Safety Chris Harris is Tweeting that FB Brad Hoover has been cut. I thought that was coming. Moose is next. DE Tyler Brayton will be allowed to walk/be cut too. John Kasay, Keydrick Vincent are also likely targets.
One NFL agent is calling it the Panthers’ “fire sale” in prep for — a possible lock out. We’ve told you this for some time, the Big Cat knows that the more money he can bank in 2010, the longer he can bunker down in 2011.
Put another way, if the Panthers’ 2010 roster is 25-35% cheaper than the 2009 roster, either Jerry Richardson cuts ticket prices by a similar percentage or I ain’t going.
Oh, and Steve Smith is all but begging for some spending on the WR slot. Ain’t happening, Steve-O. If I’m Jon Beason or DeAngelo Williams, I start looking for a plausible way to shut it down for 2010. With the front office shutting it down already, why not?
