This British story reports on the low level of support for private education in the U.K. Apparently, a rather large majority believes that all children should be compelled to accept the education given in government schools. The erosion in belief in freedom is alarming, as its ugly twin, the belief that compulsion is needed to make education (among other things) equal.
I wonder what the results in the U.S. would be.
