Speaking of government-assisted developments such as PTRP that are supposed to make life wonderful for everyone, remember that supposedly memorable place Heart of the Triad? Guilford County Commissioner Mike Winstead mentioned it during last Thursday’s discussion of plans to merge Greensboro and High Point water and sewer operations with the county.

Winstead was expressing concern that if the issue were placed in committee, it would just go away and nothing would be done. He cited HOT as an example, saying he sat on a committee for two years and “now you never hear anything about it.”

The Greensboro City Council isn’t about to let HOT die, however; council members have included support for state funding as part of its legislative agenda.
