Perhaps the folks at Newsweek are on to something. Their latest issue offers some possible “retirement” jobs for Barack Obama, who might be leaving the White House sooner than expected.
Some of the ideas are cringe-worthy: Supreme Court justice? College president? U.S. president again in 2016, following the Grover Cleveland precedent?
My favorite is option No. 8: stay-at-home dad.
All this is to say that if Obama is booted out after one term, there will likely be a quiet period as he adjusts to life without 24/7 demands and the constant presence of a military aide with the nuclear suitcase handcuffed to his wrist. The upside: it’s a chance to kick back and relax, and spend some quality time with Sasha, Malia, and dog Bo.
