Perhaps I have mentioned this already here. I am mentioning it everywhere. Moogfest 2014 is going to be so cool, I can hardly contain myself. Not only are they welcoming performing artists for live performances; they will have lectures and workshops on anything from cosmology to space weather to electronics to music. The ultimate workshop, I think, gives participants the opportunity to build their own synthesizer. The Circuit Bending Competition will continue to be a part of the festivities.

My only problem is that something so technologically innovative and so leading-edge hip has to beg government for money to make it happen. Seriously, if all rock stars could just give up their cocaine habits for one night and donate what they would have spent – I think we’d have this thing covered.

Then again, maybe Mike Adams is only getting the city to donate a psychological token to reinforce the concept of “You get what you pay for.”
