A Canadian Muslim apparently choked his daughter to death because she refused to wear a hijab:

A 16-year-old girl is dead and her father has been charged with murder after an attack in a Mississauga home.

Aqsa Parvez, a student at Applewood Heights Secondary School, had been on life support in hospital since yesterday morning.

Police went to the family’s two-storey home on Longhorn Trail about 8 a.m. yesterday after receiving a 911 call in which a man allegedly claimed to have killed his daughter.

His co-workers are saying the father was extremely devout, as if that explains everything and makes it OK:

“He was Muslim and very devout, very observant,” said one of his fellow drivers at Mississauga’s Blue and White Taxi, who did not want his name used. “He was always stopping to take breaks and pray: three, four times a day.”

How Canadian authorities react to this is important. Will modern Western laws supersede Sharia law or not? Will this man get leniency if convicted? Will he be convicted at all? If not, what else might be allowed under the name of multiculturalism? The possibilities are endless.
