Don’t AP reporters know any history? The Associated Press reported on a conference at NYU that is pushing the idea that Alger Hiss was not a communist spy. Hellooo! That’s almost as absurd as conferences pushing the idea that global warming is something new and catastrophic without pointing out the messy problems of the Medieval Warm Period and the subsequent Little Ice Age.
It’s one thing to write a story about a wacko conference whose participants want to ignore historical facts, but to do so without adding the context that these revisionists are totally bonkers is just a journalistic travesty.
