That’s a loaded question in this year’s Democratic presidential primary, but I’m actually referring to the question posed in Mark Binker’s front-pager in today’s N&R. Dems in Guilford County are turning out in big numbers, but they’re not going much farther down the ballot after voting for rock-star Obama. But are they making down to the sales tax increase and the $670 million in bonds? After all, as JLF head man John Hood notes, “Democratic voters are more likely to support taxes, even sales tax hikes.”
I hadn’t thought about that, although I said I had a bad feeling about the bonds (meaning good feeling for the taxpayer) a couple of weeks ago. But if you vote for Obama, odds are you believe schools need more money. Period, case closed.
