Today, my commentary regarding
the Wilmington Race Riot was published in the Wilmington StarNews. The
piece offers a different interpretation and points out the economic
growth of the African American population during the nadir of American
race relations. Instead of focusing on failure, the article emphasizes
black innovation and fortitude.
The big question for me is this: How
much wealth and how many jobs could black entrepreneurs have created
had they been allowed to participate freely in the market?
