The Mountain Resources Commission is, for the time being, removed from the obliteration list in Senate Bill 851 (a.k.a. the Boards and Commissions Efficiency Act of 2012). The board has just released its 183-page Vitality Index, and it is about to commence upon a listening tour. It sounds like a waste of money, but Chairman David Gant said, “We don’t cost a nickel to the taxpayers.” Funding came from the US Forest Service and the National Park Service.
