The folks at Carolina Demography have blogged a map of our state that gives us a snapshot of North Carolina’s many very small municipalities — defined as having 2,500 or fewer residents. As always, look carefully at the definitions being used to create this map. Very interesting to see this, particularly as policymakers and advocates continue to discuss the “rural/urban divide.”
