Interesting comment from a Lindley Park resident during last night City of Greensboro’s budget hearing:
Other residents pressed city leaders to protect quality of life, too, by maintaining the library system, as well as some support for nonprofits and arts programs.
“Some of us may be willing to pay more property taxes to make the right things happen,” resident Valerie Vickers said.
How about the city makes the right things happen and we pay lower property taxes? Is that such a foreign concept?
Whenever I get into a debate with liberals —- or anybody, for that matter —- I encourage to watch any local government meeting a note the money that passes through those guys. It’s mind-blowing.
