WBTV gets the details that escaped other outlets on another bizarre incident at South Park involving a parking deck.
Turns out a woman didn’t just back her car off the deck, flipping it over in the process. Police say she was hammered out of her mind. CMPD have charged Amber Kendrick, 26, with DWI following the incident. WBTV explains, or tries to:
A police report says Kendrick told police she was coming from an uptown reception. She said she remembered driving on a road and swerving to avoid squirrel. She said she then flipped her car and was knocked unconscious.
According to the report the officer then told her that she was not on a road when the car flipped, but instead on the parking deck.
The report says Kendrick couldn’t explain how she got to the mall or why she was there.
Kendrick’s injuries were not life-threatening.
