Handed out in at least one Wake County public school today, it’s a four-panel cartoon with the following text, given in full:

1. Long ago, our country had many different rules. People wanted to have only one set of rules.

2. George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and others talked about the rules. They planned to write one set of rules.

3. They met in a building called Independence Hall. That building is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

4. They signed a brand-new set of rules for people to follow. The rules became the United States Constitution.
