The High Point City Council voted down a resolution of consideration for annexation, with council member stressing that the city has no intention of pursuing involuntary annexations at the present time.
Because this resolution was voted down, the city would have to adopt a new resolution, meaning it would be at least a year before any annexation could be initiated.
