Two council members, Mike Pugh and Bill Bencini, voted against the request:
Pugh lamented that senior citizens must struggle with paying for their medicine and utility bills while “we continue to give money away to multi-million- dollar corporations.”
Bencini said specific information and projections provided the City Council on Monday was insufficient. “I’m disappointed at the level of staff analysis that has been provided to us tonight,” he said.
Now TransTech must decide if they’ll stay or if they’ll go.
