Little after 4pm today, promising to sock it to the “oil companies” and end their “special tax breaks.”
This because gas prices at the pump are, evidently, too high and the money that the oil companies are making should instead be routed to “create high paying new jobs” and clean energy.
But doesn’t that mean that “working families” still have to pay a ton of money to somebody — ie the government — instead of the oil companies?
