No news flash that that the Internet has turned journalism upside down. Still, I find it odd that the city beat reporter for the daily paper of record gives a local blogger a hat tip for a story from a City Council meeting she was covering herself.
In this case, we’re talking Greensboro City Council member Zack Matheny’s failure to recuse himself from a vote awarding a contract to D.H. Griffin. Matheny cited a conflict of interest with Griffin earlier this year when the previous council was awarding the contract to operate the White Street landfill.
