I hope no teachers look like their students. That would be creepy – like an Orphan Black sort of thing.
Of course the Huffpost article addresses differences in the racial and ethnic composition of the teacher workforce compared to the students they teach. According to the article,
But teacher demographics are not keeping pace with the massive shifts in student demographics, and startlingly few educators in public schools are of color.
Frankly, I am more concerned with teaching ability than appearance, but that’s just me.
