Luckdoo [Deb Luckadoo, director of campus activities at NC State] closed the panel by challenging the members of the audience to rethink their usage of the phrase “That’s so gay,” in a negative manner.

“Remember that horrible Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck film, ‘Gigli?’ I encourage you to use the word ‘Gigli’ in place of gay, because ‘gigli’ is a much more powerful icon for negativity,” Luckadoo said.
