It bears all the signs of a budding conspiracy theory after the fact:
1. It’s momentous ? the winner of this race most likely decides which party controls the Senate.
2. It’s marked by uncertainty ? Webb’s totals have been reported for Allen, and vice-versa.
Uncertainty plus momentousness is irresistible to the tinfoil hats, who will invariably point to the fact that their favored candidate “led” in one count that was “accidentally” reported by the MSM before they realized their slip-up (which is unwittingly telling the truth) before being shown as trailing and then losing the recount.
