“I think she’s just trying to make sure we’re not totally mad at her”

That quote in the News & Observer comes from Bonnie Stebnicki, a teacher who attended one of Gov. Perdue’s pro tax hike rallies today.

Ms. Stebnicki is correct, but only in part. The governor is also trying to do something about this. So what is an embattled governor to do when her state’s unemployment rate is 11.1 percent?
