Kudos to the student at the University of California-Merced who, through this video, showcased the intellectual dishonesty of fellow students who say it would be unfair to force them to give up some of their GPA to students whose GPA is lower and who may have a heavier burden. They are right, of course. It wouldn’t be fair. However, these same students then defend the tax code, which redistributes wealth in the same way. What’s more, fairness is the basis of the Left’s argument for soaking the rich, which is now being pushed by the Left, and sadly, even some on the Right. Bottom line seems to be: when someone else is forced to hand over the fruits of THEIR labor, that’s fine to these students. But when THEY are forced to do so, that’s not right.
