Janet Napolitano allegedly informed lawmakers that the report that made all of us domestic terrorists had been pulled, to be “replaced or redone in a much more useful and much more precise fashion.” Now, I’m grateful for the Missouri cops who made the report public; but I was getting used to my new identity. I’d go around town introducing myself as a domestic terrorist (because I couldn’t afford a lot of third-party bumper stickers to give myself away). Most folks just responded, “Me, too.” It is somewhat annoying that the Department of Homeland Security opted to be more precise, rather than accurate, in their definitions of extremists. Disconcertingly, this report may not be made public. However, with Osama bin Laden, the Gitmo guys, drug dealers, and anybody rich enough to afford a slimy lawyer running loose out here, maybe I am on the wrong side of the prison wall.
