… as Joe Coletti and some like-minded legislators have advocated, those who fear the new state budget will lead to the disappearance of the state’s “most beloved, valuable public structures” could devote more of their own money to maintaining those structures.

Instead they plan to hold a cake-eating party later this morning outside the Legislative Building.

(Of course, even with the existence of a tax-me-more fund, one could debate whether these folks ever would be willing to part voluntarily with their own cash. They earn their paychecks shilling for policies that call for the forcible seizure of other people’s property.)
