It has been suggested that politicians believe members of the general public are only competent to make good decisions by themselves one day of the year: Election Day. Reciprocally, folks in the general public have a hard time trying to find intelligence in the General Assembly. Today, Governor Bev Perdue offered her own suggestions for legally plundering $1.6 billion to cover the state’s profligate spending habits. As usual, nobody is listening to admonitions from conservative think tanks that government is too volumized with fluff. After all, flirting with disaster is always kinda exciting.
