There’s no better way than for the government to set up a “one size fits all” system that puts politics rather than individual choice in the driver’s seat. That the gist of Ben Zycher’s insightful comment here.
Public education has caused lots of strife, but I suspect that a government health care system would be much worse. Maybe not as bad as the religious wars that raged across Europe until religious freedom mostly took hold, but very serious. For those who will suffer (and their families) having pushed Obamacare could become unforgiveable. And it should be.
