In his column today, Thomas Sowell argues that Obamacare will inevitably mean bureaucratic health care decisions that many older people won’t like.

I especially like this paragraph: “More is at stake than the outcomes of medical decisions, extremely important as those are. What is also at stake is freedom and dignity of individuals who do not live their lives as supplicants of puffed-up power holders who are spending the money taken from them in taxes.”

Freedom. Dignity. Both get tramped whenever politicians decide that they know how to bring about “social justice.”
