Michael Sanera just gave me a copy of his alumni magazine from Arizona State and it contains this important announcement:
“The former department of Chicana and Chicano studies has taken on a new transborder focus and a new name. It is now known as the department of transborder Chicana/o and Latina/o studies. The renamed department will maintain a primary focus on Mexican-origin populations and the Mexico-U.S. border region, while also offering opportunities for students to understand how Latinos are changing and will change the face of this country.”
