Great leadership is a crucial ingredient to boost learning within N.C. schools. Peggy Smith delivered that message during a presentation to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.

A Campbell University education professor, Johnston County school board member, and retired elementary school principal, Smith explained how leadership involves administrators, teachers, parents, and students themselves. In the video clip below, she answered an audience question about the importance of removing ineffective teachers from the classroom.
