According to a state auditor’s report, Howard Lee, chairman of the State Board of Education, is enjoying a nice lifestyle courtesy of taxpayers.

The N&O reports that the state pays for his rental car, $1,500 a month for a sharp Chrysler 300C. He was also (improperly) reimbursed $9,500 for meals. Do not forget that Utilities Commission pays him $119,000 a year.
