The Journal is furiously wringing its hands over global warming:

For those who put their financial situation ahead of everything else – ahead of health, family, recreation and home – the British government has some news: Even you should be concerned about global warming……For North Carolina, there are real economic threats from climate change. Rising ocean levels could swamp the low-lying Outer Banks. Rising temperatures will affect what grows well on our farms, and whether there is adequate rainfall to sustain that agriculture.

No worries: Barbara Boxer will save us.

Meanwhile, David Bass writes in this month’s Carolina Journal print edition that North Carolina’s ozone levels are plummeting:

Contrary to the insistence of radical environmentalists that air quality in North Carolina is an impending crisis, data over the last several years show that the state is experiencing few high-level ozone days despite warm temperatures over the summers of 2005-2006.

Ah yes. Step outside and breathe it in.
