One of the issues to take center stage at the “Take Back Our State”
rally is the upcoming legal challenge to the Dell Inc. incentive
packages doled out by the state and local governments. Bob Orr of the
Institute for Constitutional Law has said his firm will soon file the
suit. This week, Investor’s Business Daily interviewed John Hood about the issue. A piece by Paul Chesser on the general subject was published in the Washington Examiner.
His commentary broadened the topic to a discussion of the practice of politicians providing favors –
such as a failed attempt by Maryland legislators to pass a law that
would have forced Wal-Mart to fork over more money for employee
healthcare.
