The state, through its Sustainable Communities Task Force, has awarded nine grants totaling a quarter million dollars to localities for projects that:
- Improve regional planning efforts that integrate housing and transportation decisions
- Increase the capacity to improve land use
- Provide matching funds for a Federal Sustainable Communities Planning Grant or other federal grant related to sustainable development and requiring local matching funds.
