Can’t believe that we are talking HS football on such a brutally hot day, but Independence does face Charlotte Catholic in a scrimmage tonite at 8pm. Let’s hope it cools down a tad.
Even if the temps do moderate as the sun sets, I really suspect that the Patriots’ depth — especially the fact that Coach Tom Knotts does not use two-way players — should really put Catholic in a bind.
But maybe not. That’s what is so great about sports.
