The Winston-Salem Journal has this AP article on some dudes who —for whatever reason —- hike naked:

Both men said they don shoes or boots and a hat if conditions warrant it. Sunscreen and insect repellent are also recommended, although Jonathan Jones, 33, of Waynesboro, Va., says that there’s an advantage to encountering insects when hiking naked: Wood ticks on the skin are easier to spot.

Ouch.
