Lawyers from the Washington-based Institute for Justice headed to Raleigh this morning to join Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina in the legal fight to protect North Carolina’s new opportunity scholarships for low-income families.

Before a 10 a.m. court hearing, IJ attorneys Dick Komer and Renee Flaherty joined PEFNC president Darrell Allison and Wake Forest parent Cynthia Perry in a 12-minute news conference discussing their support for the new opportunity scholarships, or vouchers.
