An NPR tribute to civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks was followed this afternoon by an announcement that “support for this program comes from EBSCO.”
EBSCO is an acronym for the Elton B. Stephens Company. Stephens, born in Barbour County, Ala., later became friends and an associate (some would say crony) of another Barbour County neighbor of greater fame, George C. Wallace.
