More to the point, does Time magazine think so?
The current cover of the magazine certainly has people talking about how Graham looks like he has horns in the pic. I thought this was all a big nothing until I saw this semi-famous Viagra ad from a few years back. The intent there was clearly to use the letters of the word to put horns on the guy.
Knowing that nothing clever is ever forgotten in any creative field, I have to believe that someone at Time thought it would be clever to do “horns” on Graham, especially with the whole “confessions” theme. Good and evil? Get it?
Me neither. Not very funny or original. But not offensive either, certainly not to the extent that some other folks are making it out to be. No slur or bias, just an example of someone trying to be too cute by half.
Now I will be offended if Time does not step up and admit, Yes, we were going for a little visual pun and it turned out to be stupid. Sorry.
I hate to be treated like an idiot — I imagine most folks do. Does Time understand this?
