The Rhino’s John Hammer crashes a Greensboro City Council secret meeting:
The purpose was to interview two candidates for city attorney, and the one who was supposed to get the job, Karen McDonald, the Fayetteville city attorney, drove back to Fayetteville and withdrew her application. It would appear actually meeting with the people that she was going to be working with was enough to convince her that she didn’t want to work here. Or maybe she didn’t like the secret illegal meetings. Some lawyers are sensitive to legal issues and like to obey the law when possible. That wouldn’t include the current city legal staff, but perhaps this McDonald from Fayetteville has scruples.
