By now, we all know that Republicans hit a bump in the road
yesterday. I was reading The State, the state-wide newspaper down in South Carolina today and
low and behold Governor Mark Sanford a Republican was re-elected, amongst the
downfall of Republicans. He won against
Sen. Tommy Moore (No Relation to me, but I have a lot of Kin in the Upstate).
Some had thought Sanford’s days were numbered a few months ago because of divisions
over policy with members of his own party. Is Mark Sanford a person to
keep an eye on for 2008? If not him, at least the role of our neighbor to
the south will be.
