It drives me crazy when our side calls it a “payroll” tax. It is the tax that supports Social Security. Yes, I know that Congress spends the revenue from the tax every year and puts IOUs in the Social Security Trust fund, but someone, sometime must insert some reality into the debate. If not those of us on the right, who will?
While I don’t agree with everything that Steve Conover at AEI says, I do agree that we should be “Throwing FDR under the Bus.”
Should we throw FDR under the bus? Maybe it’s time we did that, maybe not; in any case, it’s up to us. Let’s just be honest, and tell the whole truth about what we’re doing.
