It’s a shame a magazine called Businessweek misses the basic point of the minimum wage’s harm

In documenting some support for the president’s proposed $9 hourly minimum wage, the latest issue of Bloomberg Businessweek offers the following:

Now, with public anger over income inequality deepening and economic research challenging the notion that higher wages suppress employment, a growing number of small business advocates support a hike.

The article offers nothing more about the “economic research,” which must necessarily ignore the basic economic concept of the damage associated with a government-mandated price floor.
