So who’s the unknown Senator who has placed a hold on a bill that
would create a public, searchable database of all federal contracts and
grants? Fifty of the upper house’s members have been accounted for,
including North Carolina’s Richard Burr and Elizabeth Dole, but there
are 50 more to go. The bill creating the database, co-sponsored by Sen.
Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) was about to be voted on
when some Senator put a secret hold on the bill. So, who was it? That’s
what the blogosphere is trying to find out. And, you know, I think they will. Already, the smart money is on Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan.

Stay tuned.
