At their last meeting, the Buncombe County Commissioners went into closed session. The minutes reveal they were discussing the but-for for an unnamed company that would bring 200-300 jobs to and invest $120-170 million in the local economy. I suggest making all the minimum wage slaves forfeit half their paychecks to help pay for good jobs for rich engineers. What’s that? It’s already been done?
If you want to pretend that taxing the lower middle class to collect revenues to gift large corporations to pay high wages has nothing to do with elimination of the middle class, please dumb down your arguments. I do not know what it means when you shout at me, “That’s stupid! Feel the energy!”
