The House Judiciary II Committee is scheduled to consider the forced annexation moratorium bill tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in Room 421 of the Legislative Office Building.

This
is a good sign given it wasn’t clear that it would even be heard.
There is no reason why the moratorium bill shouldn’t get passed by the
whole GA given the bipartisan support (the House Finance Committee
approved the moratorium by an incredible 25-4 vote).

Unfortunately,
public demand and bipartisan support may not be enough to get it
through the House or Senate.  It probably will get through the
House, but the Senate is another story–this is the same Senate that
hasn’t even considered the eminent domain constitutional amendment.
