I’ve posted it on the Pope Center’s web site. This course came highly recommended to me by a former student, who inundated me with course material. For the truncated Carolina Journal version I came up with a labored headline (“Yogi, Boo-Boo and Duke”), a problem I have rectified to my satisfaction in this posting.

Toward the end of the article I quote the inspiration for the course in a 1974 prediction: “Your dead bodies will lie on these roads, your children will be orphans, and nobody will kick them, rather, people will eat them alive! There will be tremendous insanity. That is the time we are going to face.”

I investigated but could not find sufficient reason to believe this guy had inspired either the current rhetoric of the enviro-wackos or (since he had specifically limited his prediction to the next 10 years) the Hurricane Katrina ravings of activist Randall “Believe the Worst” Robinson.
